This new AWARE project called eng.join! seeks at building a long-lasting bridge between the undergraduate study courses of the Department of Mobility Engineering of Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) and “Engineering and Management” of THI by providing scholarships for students to stay at the partner university and by enabling exchange of professors teaching in the courses. The course coordinator of Engineering and Management, Prof. Dr. Andrea Eisenberg, and the main coordinator of the partnership of UFSC with THI, Prof. Dr. Maurício de Campos Porath, were elaborating the project idea with the support of the AWARE Center. After a two-years funding period of establishing the basis, the eng.join! team can apply for further funding for more 4 years.

UFSC has already finished their applications process and received 22 applications for a stay at THI from October on (or later due to the pandemic). THI has just started their Call for Applications – EGM students can apply until June 7 for a stay in summer term 2021! The DAAD’s instrument ISAP was launched ten years ago to support the internationalization of universities through exchange of heads. THI is being funded for the first time and will gain proficiency in this program during the upcoming years.
