The Hannover Messe – one of the most important international industrial fairs - would have taken place from 20th to 24th April 2020, but was cancelled due to Corona. 5500 exhibitors and 200.000 visitors would have come together in Hannover. The Centre for Applied Research (ZAF - Zentrum für Angewandte Forschung) of Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) would have been there, too - at the joint stand of Bayern Innovativ GmbH in the Future Hub.
Rather than in direct contact, many exhibitors present themselves and their products now online with the hashtag #WhatWeWouldHaveShown. THI follows their example and set up its booth digitally.
At the digital booth you can get information about the AWARE Center, founded in February, as well as the Artificial Intelligence Network Ingolstadt (AININ), the research partnership SAFIR – founded by BMBF – and the Innovation Alliance “Mensch in Bewegung”, which is funded through the initiative of federal and state governments “Innovative University”.
In addition two of THI’s current research projects are shown, which are both funded by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Infrastructre (BMVI): FreeRail is about controlling vegetation close to railway tracks by drones. SAVe is about methodological development of combined virtual and physical validation of traffic scenarios.
