For the second time, Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) receives funding for a project within the ISAP program (International Study and Training Partnerships) of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service).
This AWARE project called eng.join! has already received initial funding during the period 2020-2022. It successfully keeps building a long-lasting bridge between the undergraduate study courses of the Department of Mobility Engineering of Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) and “Engineering and Management” of THI by providing scholarships for students to stay at the partner university and by enabling the exchange of professors teaching in the courses. The course coordinator of Engineering and Management, Prof. Dr. Andrea Eisenberg, and the main coordinators of the partnership at UFSC, Prof. Dr. Maurício de Campos Porath and Prof. Dr. James S. Eger, were further developing the project idea with the support of the AWARE Center. After this two-year funding period, a new application of funding for 2 more years was successful.
The eng.join! program will provide scholarships for THI Students at UFSC during March-July 2023 and 2024 (4.5 months) and for UFSC students at THI from October 2022/2023 until February 2023/2024 (5 months). Additionally, this extended part of the project enables the exchange of professors who teach in the courses.
UFSC has already selected 3 students for a stay at THI during the Winter Semester 2022/23. THI is going to open their Call for Applications – EGM students can apply in the second half of the year 2022 for a stay in summer term 2023! Find the current calls here.
