Through the DAAD funded project “AI@motion International”, researchers from THI got the chance to visit universities and companies in Finland and Brazil active in the field of AI and mobility.

In April of this year, a group of AI researchers from the AI & Mobility Hub “AImotion Bavaria” visited partners in Finland for a week. During the visit, the THI researchers had the chance to see the research facilities at our partner university Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS), such as the HealthTechLab and the GameLab. In addition, THI researchers had the opportunity to get to know researchers from Aalto University. The delegation also used the chance to share expertise and have productive discussions with Unikie and Silo AI.

A second trip in May took professors from THI to Brazil. During the visit the delegation had been invited to Universidade de São Paulo (USP), Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), and Facens, to exchange ideas for possible research cooperations and exchange programs. The group also visited Embraer in São José dos Campos to see the plant and discuss possible joint projects.

In return, visits by delegations from USP and TUAS are planned for the end of the year.

AI@motion International supports THI researchers in networking and cooperating with international colleagues to develop joint projects and drive AI innovations regarding transportation and mobility. Please take a look at our “AI@motion International” website for further information and activities that “AImotion Bavaria” has planned internationally.
