Elena Frosch is one of the first graduates of the English language master's program in Retail and Consumer Management at THI Business School. Her personal highlight during her studies was her one-month internship in Florianópolis. She sums up her experience as follows:
"I came to know about my internship through our program director, Prof. Dr. Marc Knoppe. During his lecture, he told us about his contacts in Brazil and asked whether anyone might be interested in doing an internship there. At first, I hesitated a bit, but then I thought: This is exactly the right thing for me. After that everything happened very quickly: I sent my application to Thiago Marques, Prof. Knoppe's cooperation partner, who also gives courses here in Ingolstadt as a guest lecturer at the THI Business School. He has his own company in Brazil, a start-up located on an innovation campus. They took me and I finally flew over in August 2019.
During my internship I mainly dealt with market research and digital marketing, topics that I learned during my RCM studies. I was offered a great opportunity to put my theoretically acquired knowledge into practice staying abroad. Once I was even allowed to fly to Concordia, Brazil, for a three-day business trip. I thought it was really awesome that they made it possible for me as a 'simple' intern.
In addition, I had also enough time to get to know the country and its people a little better. I met a lot of great and interesting people from all over the world on the Innovation Campus and the beaches and downtown of Florianopolis are just fantastic. It was an absolutely worthwhile experience. I can only recommend all students to use the time during their studies for a stay abroad."
