Professor Carlos Bavastri,
Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), offered the three-week course Car-Body Construction at THI as part of a guest professorship by AWARE:
"The stay in Ingolstadt was a positive experience for me. The English language course enabled me to meet students from all over the world. I think that the students were also able to take away interesting knowledge. THI's equipment and research facilities are modern and very well organised, which makes research development immensely easier. The lively participation in discussions in the seminar was new to me, as students in Brazil often don't ask questions, even if there are problems of understanding. During my stay here I found this very positive, because it creates an intensive exchange of knowledge. In general I like the German way of dealing with problems: They approach things in a simple and organized way to find solutions. Public transport in Germany is also perfectly organized. The trains run on time and take you to any place in the country."
