Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) is delighted to welcome the launch of talentos, a start-up spun off from the AWARE Center, aiming to bridge the gap between Latin American talent and promising career opportunities in Germany. This initiative comes as a response to the pressing need for skilled workers in the region, coupled with the AWARE Center's extensive network of talent hubs across Latin America.

The German Federal Employment Agency has recognized Latin America as a region with significant potential for skilled workers, owing to its abundant human capital and globally competitive universities. talentos, born out of AWARE, is on a mission to streamline the pathway for highly qualified individuals from Latin America to access attractive career prospects in Germany.

Founder Anne-Sophie Kopytynski, who has more than a decade of experience in placing qualified students, expresses her confidence in the untapped potential of young professionals from Latin America for Germany as a thriving business destination. "We also have an extensive network of over 30 excellent universities in Latin America that support us locally in selecting the right candidates with technological expertise," she adds. Co-founder Alessandro Zimmer emphasizes that talentos will provide exclusive and rapid access to highly qualified young professionals from Latin America, who might not be discoverable through conventional recruiting methods.

THI wholeheartedly supports this initiative, aligning with its goal of attracting more skilled workers to the region. "As a university, we want to do more to attract skilled workers to the region, and so it is important to us to support initiatives like talentos accordingly," says THI. The university is collaborating with talentos by offering networks, knowledge, and contacts, with plans for joint marketing campaigns to promote Germany as an education and business hub.

The talentos founding team brings together a wealth of expertise. Anne-Sophie Kopytynski, who has served as Managing Director of the AWARE network at THI for over a decade, leverages her extensive regional network and years of project management experience, particularly at the intersection of German and Latin American universities and companies.

Alessandro Zimmer, a Brazilian research professor at THI for six years, contributes his personal network of universities and multipliers in Brazil. His firsthand experience with a professional move to Germany makes him an ideal mentor for candidates from Latin America.

Completing the team is Witold Kopytynski, a former THI student and founder of "arculus - a Jungheinrich company." Witold's achievements, including winning the MIT Technology AWARD "Innovators Under 35," bring valuable start-up and business acumen to talentos.

Talent placement is set to commence shortly, with Brazil as the pilot country. talentos is actively building its talent pool with outstanding IT and engineering graduates and developing a matching platform to swiftly identify the best candidates for job openings. The start-up also offers comprehensive support for the recruiting process, relocation, and the visa application process for Germany.

The launch of talentos signifies a significant step toward enhancing talent mobility and fostering collaboration between Latin America and Germany, a move that holds immense promise for both regions.
