International Automotive Engineering

In the field of automotive development, strong efforts must be made at national and international level to prepare students for the future technical requirements of the automotive industry.

THI's Master's degree program "International Automotive Engineering" was developed in cooperation with teams from research and development of our partners in the automotive industry and opened for a double master's program with UFPR and UFSC. Students are thus prepared to carry out interdisciplinary research in international teams and develop innovative solutions for current global challenges in topics such as sustainable use of resources or vehicle safety.

During a one-year stay abroad, students deepen their intercultural skills and broaden their technical and methodological abilities. In English-language courses as well as in individual projects with topics of current research, graduates are enabled to find and defend solutions for technical problems according to scientific principles. After successfully defending their final thesis, students are awarded the German Master's degree in "International Automotive Engineering" and - depending on the choice of specialization in Brazil - the Brazilian Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
